Open Up the Iron Curtain

Here are a few examples of how to take one "kit" in Studio J to make six different layouts that all coordinate with each other. This little village with a castle is called "Cesky Krumlov" and is in the Czech Republic. It used to be behind the Iron Curtain, but was so far back in the woods, it was never attacked or destroyed in any war. A visit to Krumlov is like stepping back in time. We also take lots and lots of photos and I don't like to delete too many from our journals. As you can see, I like to add many photos to my layouts and leave some space for souvenirs. On one page, there is a red patterned block with a bit of text in it, reminding me to add the "certificate of authenticity" for a small garnet brooch purchased in a little shop on a cobblestone street below the castle. Garnets are locally mined, so I really wanted to save that bit of information. Adding little bits and pieces of ephemera after I receive the prints from Studio J gives me a third chance at creativity. What are those three chances? 1) take the photos; 2) create the Studio J layouts; and 3) add ephemera/embellishments just before slipping the pages into the album.
